Jessica's Story:

On August 2nd of 2009 Jessica was driving to church when

struck by a speeding driver. When Jessica's family arrived at

the hospital they were told that Jessica has suffered a

Traumatic Brain Injury and was in a come. Later that evening

they were called into Jessica's room to say goodbye to their

only daughter/sister.

Jessica instead progressed physically and surprised everyone

by fighting for her life, but continued to remain in

vegetative/semi-conscious state.

Doctors were giving little hope in waking Jessica, her family

took her home praying for a miracle.

In 2010, the Huse family were led by a friend to Dr. Phillip Defina

with The International Brain Research Foundation. Jessica since,

has improved to a semi-conscious/emerging state.

With the help of friends, family, and community the Huse family

was able to raise enough money and transfer Jessica to

Meadowlands Hospital giving Jessica (what many believe)

the best chance of fully waking.

Although Jessica has medical insurance,

they do not cover the waking or rehabilitation of Jessica.

On behalf of my daughter Jessica, I want to thank you so much for

your support. Jessica's life goal was to help others and to work

with children with learning disabilities. It is our belief that she can

and will. She just needs help and healing.
